How an engagement is governed

Every engagement starts with a written proposal that names the question, the deliverable, the fixed fee and the date. Nothing starts before you have accepted it in writing. The fee is fixed; if the question changes materially during the work, we say so and agree a revised proposal before continuing.

The fee is invoiced in two parts: half on acceptance, half on delivery of the final document. An OD Opportunity is invoiced in full on acceptance, because it is delivered in approximately five working days. Payment is due within fourteen days. Travel outside the Netherlands is charged at cost and agreed in advance.

An OD Opportunity runs on an export you send us, and the template asks for employee and manager identifiers rather than names. We do not need to know who anyone is, so please do not send names. Everything you share with us is treated as confidential and used only for your engagement. Where our analysis is machine assisted, your material is processed for your engagement alone and is never used to train a model. We do not name clients, and the examples on this site are illustrative. The reasoning and the recommendation in your document are yours to use as you see fit; the methods behind them stay ours.

Our advice is based on the information you give us and what we hear in the conversations. The decision, and what follows from it, remains yours. Our liability under an engagement is limited to the fee paid for it.

Dutch law applies. Any dispute goes to the competent court in the Netherlands.
